Project Engineer

Project Engineers play a crucial role in the engineering projects across various industries in China, overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of a specific short-term projects which have a beginning, an end, and specified deliverables.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance to the engineering team in multiple manufacturing processes such as metal stamping, injection molding, die-cast and electronics.
  • Explore best options for reducing manufacturing cost yet maintaining the high standards required at China2West.
  • Supplier Quotation Review.
  • Creation and editing of DFM reports.
  • Creation of Quality Control Documents, Work Instructions & QA plans for production.
  • Visit factories during production, especially in the initial stages to ensure that parts are produced according to high standards.
  • Managing multiple suppliers at the same time to meet project goals.
  • Provide detailed reports on a daily/weekly basis to team leader.
  • Communicate with the rest of the engineering team to map clear project plans.
  • Will be required to go to factories for troubleshooting.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, engineering, or equivalent experience,
  • 4+ years’ experience in mechanical or engineering fields.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes especially metal stamping, die-cast, injection molding/plastic parts, electronics,
  • Experience in supplier management,
  • Fluent verbal and written skills in English & Chinese,
  • Independent thinking, analytical, consultative and communication skills,
  • Self-disciplined to finish the task timely and satisfactorily,
  • Motivated and creative self-starter able to plan, organizes, and prioritize work schedule,
  • Ability to use CAD and engineering software Solid Work,
  • Efficient user of Microsoft Office software, including Excel & Word,
  • Ability to work in an international environment and be a team player,
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
